Do You Seal Rocks Before Painting
There is no definitive answer to this question. Some artists do seal their rocks before painting, while others don’t.
Paints that are specifically designed for use on rocks (such as acrylics) usually don’t need to be sealed, but other types of paint (like enamels or oils) may need to be sealed in order to prevent them from seeping into the rock’s surface and causing discoloration.
