How to Paint Night Sky
To start, mix a little black paint with some white paint to create a very dark blue color. Then, using a medium-sized brush, begin painting the sky by starting at the horizon and working your way up. For the stars, use a very small brush to dab on dots of white paint. You can also add in some clouds for added effect. Once you’re finished, let the paint dry completely before framing or displaying your work.
What Colors Do You Need to Paint a Night Sky
A dark blue or black is best for the sky, with stars in white or a very light blue. The darkness of the sky is what helps create the illusion of depth and distance. You want to use a color that recedes into the background, and dark blues and blacks do just that. For the stars, you’ll want a lighter shade to help them stand out against the sky. White or light blue are good options for this.
How Do You Blend Colors to Make a Night Sky
There are a few different ways to create a night sky effect with colors. One way is to use two complementary colors, such as blue and orange.
To blend the colors, start by painting the sky with the lightest color. Then add the second color in patches around the edges of the first color. Finally, add the third color in larger patches in the middle of the painting. Use a dry brush to blend the colors together before adding any final details.
